#20- "Who She Is" Screenplay

 Aurora's Neighborhood:

EXT. AURORA'S HOUSE - MORNING
Alarm starts.
FADE TO ALARM
CLOSE UP ON ALARM
Aurora hits her alarm.
INT. AURORA'S BEDROOM
MID-SHOT OF AURORA SITTING ON HER BED
She stretches her arms out upwards. She puts in her headphones and starts a song on her phone (I'm Just a Girl). She stands up and walks towards her dresser (camera tracks her) she picks out clothing.
THE CAMERA PANS AWAY FROM AURORA.
CONTINUITY OF PAN (CUT TO ALLOW CHARACTER TO CHANGE)
PAN TO THE MIRROR.
Aurora looks at her outfit in the mirror and then walks out of her room.
CUT TO BATHROOM MIRROR
INT. AURORA'S BATHROOM
Aurora bushes her hair and puts on her make up in the mirror. She walks out of mirror (frame).
INT. AURORA'S LIVING AREA
THE CAMERA WILL TRACK AURORA FROM THE HALL TO THE KITCHEN
CUT TO KITCHEN

LONG SHOT (AURORA AND HER MOTHER ARE IN FRAME)
Aurora grabs apple from fruit tray. She pulls out one headphone to acknowledge her mother.
CUT TO MOTHER
MID SHOT OF AURORA'S MOTHER CLEANING A DISH.
AURORA'S MOTHER
"That won't fill you, let me make you some pancakes or something!"
AURORA
"I'll be late, plus my apple is just fine"
(annoyed tone)
AURORA'S MOTHER
"An apple is not a good meal to start your day!"
(she walks around the corner of the island to get closer to aurora.)
Aurora puts back her headphone back in and walks away towards the front door. (track Aurora) Aurora picks up her backpack and slams door.
PAN BACK TO AURORAS MOTHER.
Aurora's mother gives a disappointed face and goes back to cleaning another dish.
EXT. AURORA'S HOUSE - MOMENTS LATER
LONG-SHOT OF HOUSE
Aurora exits front door and walks to the street. She continues to walk out of frame (left).
TILT DOWN. STREET IS THE ONLY THING IN FRAME.

CUT TO STREET.PAN FROM STREET TO BACK OF AURORA.
Josie enters shot: grabs Aurora's headphone out of her ear and side hugs her.
CUT TO FRONT ANGLE
MID-SHOT OF AURORA AND JOSIE. LONG DOLLY.
JOSIE
"Hey!"
(enthusiastic and loud)
AURORA
"You seem excited for school!"
(Surprised giggling)
JOSIE
(Leans into Aurora and gives a big smile)
"What makes you think that?"
Aurora playfully pushes away Josie.
AURORA
"You're being weird"
(Laughs)
The continue to walk forward. Separate now.
JOSIE
"No I'm not"
(scoffs dramatically)
Aurora smiles and turns her head to Josie.
AURORA
"Whatever, why are you so excited?"
JOSIE
"I'm just excited for you... Jake is going to ask you to Homecoming!"
CUT TO AURORA'S FACE
REVERSE ZOOM. AURORA IS UNSETTELED.

September 21, 2023 Time: After filming/late afternoon   Today we finished filming. before the girls left I transported all of the footage to my computer. We were able to look over all the footage we took.

#24- Filming Day Two

September 21, 2023 Location: My House/ My Neighborhood Time: Mid-Late Afternoon   Today I filmed the rest, a majority, of my final project. I had my actors Karah and Reese drive out to the location of filming, which was my house and neighborhood.    Once they both arrived at my house, we began filming. However, we didn't go in the order of my script. Which it will still be able to edit them when I transport them to my computer by file name, even if they are out of order. I will write down the names of the files in the order I want them to go after each other when I edit.    We began filming the scenes with Karah and my mother (Aurora and her mother). We filmed a pan of Karah walking into the kitchen and grabbing an apple and the conversation between her character and her character's mother. My mother is not the best actress, but we got the shot after putting a note card with her lines in the sink for her. She was able to read off that and execute her role good. ...
